Margaret’s experience includes: teaching in the Helena Montana school system, Coordinator for Neighbors West-Northwest in Portland Oregon, Staff member for Portland Commissioner Mike Lindberg, Elected Portland City Commissioner, Executive Director of Burnside Projects, organizer of conference on Portland’s neighborhoods, and consultant on public involvement and policy. She has a BA from Carroll College in Helena Montana and took graduate classes in Urban Studies at Portland State University in Portland Oregon. She is the recipient of numerous local, state and national awards, including the National Elected Leader Award from the American Planning Association for her leadership when she was a Portland City Commissioner
